At a meeting in Geneva this week of States Parties of the Biological Weapons Convention, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark confirms Denmark’s strong engagement in enhancing global biosecurity.

The Danish opening speech focused on Denmark's strong engagement in the Global Health Security Agenda, GHSA and the close cooperation between Kenya and Denmark through the Danish partnership programme on biosecurity in East Africa. Denmark's active participation in the establishment of a European forum for government agencies involved in biosecurity, European Biosecurity Regulators Forum, EBRF in 2015 was also mentioned.
