The Centre for Biosecurity and Biopreparedness (CBB) conducts inspections at companies holding a biosecurity licence. The purpose is to inspect the companies and to guide the companies and biosecurity officers regarding their biosecurity obligations according to the requirements of Executive Order no. 981 of 15 October 2009 with subsequent amendments and Executive Order no. 803 of 22 June 2017.
CBB will normally notify the company and biosecurity officers 14 days prior to an inspection.
Normally, an inspection by CBB takes a few hours and involves:
The biosecurity officers are required to attend the inspection, while the company management, as a minimum, must participate in the initial and final meetings.
